Abstract

Two efficient sixth-order solvers are compared for Banach space-valued operators. Earlier studies rely on hypotheses up to the seventh derivative, which do not appear in the solver during local convergence analysis. In this work, we instead use conditions involving only the first derivative, thereby extending the applicability of such solvers. Several examples are provided to verify and compare the older and newly derived results.

Keywords: Banach space, Fréchet derivative, sixth order of convergence, local convergence.
