Fixed point theorem for a kind of Ciric type contractions in complete metric spaces

Abstract

We prove a fixed point theorem for a kind of Ćirić type contractions in complete metric spaces. In order to demonstrate the assumption of the fixed point theorem, we give an example. We also clarify the mathematical structure of some fixed point theorems proved by Mınak-Helvacı-Altun and Wardowski-Dung independently.
